From Susan B. Anthony to Rosa Parks, the timeline of women’s achievements and contributions to history stretches back to the founding of the United States. And while it wasn’t recognized by Congress until 1987, March is now officially Women’s History Month – a time to look back and celebrate those achievements.

Besides Women’s History Month, March also holds a few more important milestones for women’s history:

  • International Women’s Day is celebrated across the globe on March 8th.
  • Title IX was passed by the Senate and became law in 1972.
  • The Equal Rights Amendment passed the Senate on March 22, 1972.

These milestones are just a few reasons March is significant to women’s history and why it’s the perfect time for employers to celebrate the women in their workplace. So to help you do so, we’ve recently created free Women’s History Month templates to highlight women’s contributions to culture, history, and society this month.
